| Back to Product Page | | Karen P - North Carolina | December 27, 2009 | Hose seems to kink worse than my old one, but not a big deal. Fits outlet just fine BUT does NOT fit my attachments very well. If I am vacuuming without holding onto the attachment, it will just fly off. Weird because they fit so snugly with the old hose. SO, everything functions but with some adjustments requiring more bending over to hold onto parts while I vacuum - not ideal. (TRY THE LOW VOLTAGE HOSE WHENEVER YOU THINK BASIC HOSE. THEY ARE INTERCHANGEABLE.)
| | Edwin Cassar, Levittown, NY - New York | December 11, 2009 | Very difficult to insert into the current vacuum outlet & just as hard to extract. Extremely tight fit. Hose is lightweight & easy to handle. (CVO NOTES: On very few older systems this can be an issue. You can scrape off some plastic from the hose end to get the perfect fit.)
| | Gloria, Pittsburgh - Pennsylvania | November 7, 2009 | The hose is a good quality although it does get kinks in it. When I purchased it I inadvertently bought the wrong size (50ft). It is too hard to store and the length is quite unnecessary for my home. (YOU CAN CUT THE HOSE TO ANY LENGTH AND REATTACH THE END BACK ON. END ARE REVERSE THREADED ON TO THE HOSE. WE SUGGEST THE LOW VOLTAGE HOSE FOR ANY BASIC HOSE APPLICATION, IT IS BETTER.)
| | - Georgia | July 8, 2009 | Hose is just as stated. Seems a little lighter than my previous hose which is good.
| | - California | July 3, 2009 | I recommend you do NOT purchase this item. The hose is lightly and cheaply constructed. I used it a couple of times and it kinks very easily around turns, even when it is not pulled hard. It broke the first time my wife used it. The coiled hose pulled out of the plastic piece that plugs into the wall socket. I am returning this hose for a refund and look for a repair kit to repair my older hose which is of better quality. (Centralvacuumonline recommends the Low Voltage Hose. Whenever a Basic Hose can be used a Low Voltage Hose can be used instead. It is easy to manage and better quality.)
| | - Alabama | January 16, 2009 | It worked fine.
| | - Ohio | November 12, 2008 | mostly happy with the product. the outside dimension of the chrome piece that connects to the attachments is a few hundredths of an inch undersize resulting in a little bit looser fit than the original equipment. overall good replacement hose
| | - Massachusetts | October 30, 2008 | five stars, nice product, I like how it has a notch that lets it lock into the wall receptacle - thanks, bill parziale
| | - Massachusetts | October 4, 2008 | Good hose.
| | - Washington | April 30, 2008 | The plug in has one small metal strip that requires it to be plugged in all the way for it to work. It takes a lot of strength, not to mention twisting and turning, to get the hose in all the way, to get the metal band in far enought for it to work. Once its in, it works great. (CVO.COM NOTES: This tight fit will only happen on few older inlets such as Nutone. To avoid it or easily overcome it buy a Low Voltage Hose. It is better all the way around any ways as far as a hose goes.)
| | - Washington | April 13, 2008 | The quality of the hose is not as good as original equipment. The hose collapses easily and has a sharp edge on the handle. (CVO.COM NOTES: New hoses are made with incredibly forgiving and lightweight plastics. It does feel different than the older rigid plastics but the new hose is easier to use and has more suction.)
