I figured out what to do with the third wire but I can guaranty you that most home owners would not have.
(PLEASE NOTE: The green wire, whether on an old motor or new, should be connected to the green wire from the electrical cord or any screws touch metal, even the metal of motor. If no green wire is on the motor, or there was before, do not worry.)

I did have to use wire nuts to connect the wires because the proper ends were not included with the motor. But since this motor is used in several different central vacs I suspect there was no choice.

NOTE: There are two digits following the six digit Lamb Ametek motor number are -00 unless otherwise noted. Regardless of the -## they can replace each other. However, -13 should be used in all vacuums involving water. -07 motors simply have different wire ends. Motors can be used in vacuum and blower applications.
