I recently upgraded the original motors in my silent master S5 central vacuum, and use this opportunity to clean up the wiring internally.
Circuit board of certainly a lot neater than the original wiring from 2001.
Well, it wasn't strictly necessary for the repair I figured while I had the canister disassembled, I may as well replace everything and not worry about it moving forward.

Usually that means one motor is dead. It may still spin but that is the air coming through it. Your model number indicates you have an old unit and if they are the original motors then it makes sense. You can replace one or both motors. Here is the replacement motor. It is not too difficult to replace. In a central vacuum the electronics would usually not be the issue since the other motor is still running.
