The basic wand is very well build. The extension mechanism is robust, while easy to operate. The great length avoids the crouch tiger pose in vacuuming that kills the back.
However my vacuum head is not powered. Appears the interface between powered and non are different. The tube would not insert far enough into my handle to engage the detent. After spending a while drilling out some very good rivets, I found that the taper in the tube did not allow enough insertion for the detent. I had to drill a new hole for the detent. A friction attachment can be used instead because of the tight fit.
