The Ametek Lamb 119631 Motor for central vacuums, blowers, and similar applications replaces all versions of the 119631 motor used in all types of industries spanning many decades. Older model 119631 motors may not be marked properly with the motor number and some may have 11-9631 or just a 9631. We do not recommend rebuilding these types of motors due to cost and technical precision for proper performance and longevity.
Replaces 6600-001 including HL10 P-9 ECD. Also, clip the wires from the old motor to splice into the new motor wires. Need wire nuts and possibly washers to make up 1/8" difference on bolt threads when tightening.

This motor fits just as the original did. It is better in the respect that the body and intake are made of cast pot metal. This is much better than the original that was some sort of bakelite product that had no strength and collapsed when I let the weight of the motor rest on it. Hookup was simple as I just connected the two power wires from the motor to the original two wires from my original circuit board (and sealed the connection with heat shrink tubing).
The only question is how long will it last. The specs said it had a life of 800-1100 hours (as I remember) and that does not seem very long but I doubt it gets run two hours a week so maybe it will last 8-10 years. It is working fine now and I am hoping for a long life but I appreciate the estimated lifespan as nobody else tells you that info.
Also, shipping was very fast and delivery was also as Central Vac seems to have warehouses on the East coast and we don't have to wait for shipping from CA.
Summary is that it was just as advertised, easy to install and I am very pleased.
