Need Help Determining your Hose?

VACUFLO OWNERS: Hose does not work with 4940 style valves. Hose does not have two metal connection pins for wall inlet. We have options for upgrading inlet valves in order to use industry standard hoses and electric power nozzles for a better clean. Please give us a call for more information.

Ask a Question

Not Compatible With Valves 4940
Question: where do i find the model # or kind of product i'm currently using? I know I have an air system - basic...but when some of your products say not compatible with and lists a number i'm not sure if I should be looking somewhere to check this? I also currently have turbocat basic rug brush which I would like to replace as well as the hose.
CVO's Answer:
If the inlet valve on the wall says "4940" when opened then our hoses are not compatible. If it has any other writing and numbers besides 4940 then all our hoses are compatible with the wall inlets. We also sell the TurboCat head alone here http://centralvacuumonline.com/product/turbocat-vacuum-nozzle/ If your home has a good amount of carpet we urge you to upgrade to an electric power brush and hose such as the Villa Elite. You can compare electric kits here http://centralvacuumonline.com/kit-comparison/
50 Foot On-Off Hose?
Question: Does Broam make a low voltage button lock hose in 50ft? Thank you
CVO's Answer:
Yes, there is a 50ft low voltage hose for the Broan system. However, only our 30ft or 35ft low voltage hoses carry the button lock feature. http://www.centralvacuumonline.com/products/general/hoses/lowvoltage/low-voltage-hose/. You can always change the hose handle with a button lock low voltage handle sold seperately. http://www.centralvacuumonline.com/products/general/partsfilters/hosecomponents/replacement-handle-for-low-voltage-hose-w-bl/.
Nutone CV-450 Compatible?
Question: Will your 50' hose work for a NuTone CV-450?
CVO's Answer:
Yes, the 50 foot hose will work on the Nutone CV-450. In fact, it will work very well since the 450 is very powerful. The same goes for the CV-750. The other Nutone models will work fine as well but not as well as these two.
Single Trigger Point Inside Wall Plate Valve
Question: We have an AstroVac over 20 years old. There is one button inside the inlet wall valve that turns the vac on when pushed. Would the low voltage hose work with this or should I just order the basic hose. I would prefer a hose with a bleeder valve. Thank you
CVO's Answer:

The low voltage hose will fit the single trigger valve but the on/off switch will not work. It is a better hose to use instead of the basic hose, though. The basic hose will work and you can purchase a handle with a bleeder valve to replace the basic handle.

Question: I have a Vacumaid unit and the wall plate says inlet model 1750. Will the low voltage hose work? Our inlet end of hose is all metal because of the connections. I see the low voltage hose has some plastic at the inlet end. Also the suction end has a button on it and out tools don't have an a hole for a button.
CVO's Answer:

Hello and thank you for contacting Central Vacuum Online.  The 1750 Wall Inlet Valve is a electric inlet valve but will work just fine with length/option of our Low Voltage Hose. The button lock option would be where the hose handle meets the extension wand. If your current extension wand does not have a hole for the button to pop through, please choose the friction fit option on our site.

Regards, Ally

Question: I have an older model Nutone #CV350. Which 30'or 35' hose would be better fit? Thanks
CVO's Answer:

Hello and thank you for contacting Central Vacuum Online my name is Ally and I am happy to assist you today.

In order to find you the proper hose, we will need to know what it is plugging into on both ends. Both at the wall end- please measure the diameter of the inlet valve opening (standard is 1.5") as well as the tool end- please describe the tools/wands (air driven or electric) you will be using with the new hose.
