Switch Assembly for Pistol Style Handle

My vacuum hose is 25 years old, and the switch recently failed. I was expecting to have to pay $300 to replace the entire hose, but was pleasantly surprised to find this complete switch assembly available from Central Vacuum Online, for 16 of that. So i ordered it. It arrived promptly, and contained all the parts needed. There were no instructions, but it was obvious how to remove the old one and install the new one. One does need 4 hands, as you have to hold wires, the switch, and the guide in place, while keeping the hose properly positioned, and then put the two halves of the grip back together. Once that minor difficulty was surmounted, the switch and hose contacts worked perfectly. So don't throw out that old hose if the switch doesn't work -- get one of these and save a lot of money. It's a fine product.
